Pawdge Privacy Policy

Overview

Pawdge helps dog owners record walks, keep private memories, and share selected walk moments. The product is designed so precise GPS stays private by default. Public or community surfaces use coarse area labels, route previews, or privacy-safe summaries instead of raw latitude and longitude.

Minimum age

Pawdge is a general-audience app and is not intended for children under 13. Users must confirm they are at least 13 before creating an account. If we learn that an under-13 account was created without an approved parental-consent process, we will delete the account and associated personal data according to our deletion workflow.

Data we collect

• Account data such as email address, authentication provider ID, and user ID.
• Dog profile data such as dog name, breed, age, avatar, and optional dog photo.
• Walk data such as start/end time, duration, distance, and owner-only GPS route points.
• Optional photos, videos, and locally generated recap media selected by the owner.
• Friend feed, area feed, memory share links, expiration/revocation state, reactions, and comments.
• Notification token and reminder settings if notifications are enabled.
• Reliability and analytics events such as app open, sign-up, walk start, walk finish, share, recap, crash, or error events. Analytics payloads must not include raw GPS.

How we use data

We use data to create and secure accounts, save dog profiles and walk history, generate private walk memories, operate friend or area community features that you choose to use, send reminders when enabled, understand reliability, prevent abuse, debug issues, and enforce community rules.

Location data

Precise GPS is used for active walk recording and owner-only walk records. Public/social surfaces must not include raw latitude or longitude. Area feed, presence, and share links use coarse area labels, blurred route thumbnails, or summaries.

We do not sell precise location data. We do not share precise GPS with advertising networks. We do not track location when you are not recording a walk.

Sharing choices

You control whether walk-related information is private, shared through selected memory links, or shown in a coarse area community view. Private memory links can be revoked or allowed to expire. Shared pages must not expose raw GPS.

Processors and services

Current or planned processors may include Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and realtime; Apple and Google platform services for app distribution and platform sign-in; optional OAuth providers when enabled; and optional analytics or observability infrastructure configured by Pawdge. Before commercial launch, this section must list every production processor and links to processor privacy terms.

Retention and deletion

Account data is retained while your account is active. Walk records, dog profile data, and memories are retained until you delete them or request account deletion, unless retention is required for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or backup recovery.

You can request account and data deletion in the app or through the public request page at /delete-account/. Some data may be retained temporarily in backups or logs for security, legal, fraud-prevention, or recovery reasons.

Regional rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or limit the use of personal information. California users may have rights related to sensitive personal information, including precise geolocation. Contact privacy@pawdge.app to make a privacy request.

Security

Pawdge uses authentication, authorization rules, and privacy-safe data models to limit access. Production services must use encrypted transport. Public payloads should avoid raw GPS, tokens, signed URLs, internal file paths, and sensitive exception details.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes should be communicated in the app or through app stores where required.
